FAQ

Q. Why should I register my business with the Aboriginal Business Directory?

A. The Aboriginal Business Directory is a marketing initiative designed to promote Aboriginal businesses throughout the province. The directory will provide significant exposure to your businesses' products and services. Some other key advantages include:

  • Direct marketing to procurement managers
  • Potential for increased sales and contracts
  • Awareness and access to contact information of the Crown Procurement managers

Q. Is there a cost involved in registering my business on the Aboriginal Business Directory?

A. There is no cost to register or advertise your business on the directory. You may keep your listing (s) posted on the directory for as long you remain in business in Saskatchewan. We do ask to be contacted when there are changes to your business information or if your business ceases operations.

Q. Can anyone register their business on the directory?

A. No. Businesses must be Aboriginal owned (minimum 51% ownership) and based in Saskatchewan.

Q. Does my business have to be registered with ISC?

A. It is strongly recommended that businesses be registered with ISC. Many organizations will only work with legally registered businesses. For more information and FAQs on registering your business name with ISC click here.

Q. Who will have access to the directory?

A. Anyone can access the business directory, including the business listings and all other visible information.

Q. I have discovered an error in my listing. Who should I contact?

A. Contact the directory's Coordinator at abd@enterprisesask.ca.

Q. I am a new business owner. What do I need to do to get started?

A. Fill out the business registration form, which you can find here. Once we receive your information we will verify the information for eligibility and contact you once your business is added to the directory.
